From Macao to Shanghai: Prospect of LAGT 2007

Shanghai (January 18, 2007): LAGT 2007 is about to start this month. This year’s LAGT will be held in succession in five Asian cities which are Macao, Hongkong, Bangkok, New Delhi and Shanghai. Macao is the first station of this year’s LAGT. It will be an international game with a prix of 80,000 US dollars. The game will begin at January 24 in the beautiful and challenging Macao Country Golf Club. The players should accomplish 54 holes in the three –day-game to compete for the champion. The second station Hongkong also has a prix of 80,000 US dollars and the game is to be held in Yujingwan Golf Club. With the same 100,000 US dollar prix, DFL India Ladies Open will begin at March 14. The last and also the largest game of this season will be Asia Miles Binhai Ladies Open. It is going to be held in Shanghai Binhai Golf Club from March 21 to 23 and to have a total prix of 230,000 US dollars. With all five round games, the total prix of LAGT 2007 reaches 600,000 US dollars. Compared to LAGT 2006, the bonus has increased by 30%.

Shanghai, the city of China, will organize and undertake the last game of LAGT 2007 ---Asia Miles Binhai Ladies Open. As a women’s golf game, it currently has the highest single round prix in China and LAGT. The game will be held in in Shanghai Binhai Golf Club from March 21 to 23.132 Chinese and foreign excellent female players will attend this game. It will be the focus that appeals to not only the Shanghai people but also the golf fans from Asia even from the whole world. The staff of LAGT told that the champion of Asia Miles Binhai Ladies Open would be entitled to participate in Korean Ladies Open for two years (07, 08). The host hopes that in this way more opportunities of attending high level international games will be available to Chinese female golf players so that the level of Chinese women’s golf games can be improved further.

LAGT will pioneer the Ladies World Golf Tournament 2007. After a series of LAGT games, several world famous tournaments such as American Tournament, European Tournament, Japanese Tournament and Korean Tournament will begin in succession at the end of March or the beginning of April.
