A multi-cultural group of Chinese art and calligraphy mature students, hope you will join them in an exciting alternative event.  The group will be holding an art exhibition in the middle of Shanghai's vibrant Moganshan Road art district.

Date: Friday 29 February (Opening night 7pm to 9.30pm) to Friday 7 March 2008.  3pm to 8pm daily. Location: 50 Moganshan Road, Building 4, Room 101.

Over 40 artworks will be on display from over 20 students, alongside that of the tutor, professional artist Chen Li Fan. The exhibition's title - DIFFERENT VISION - indicates the importance we give to the blending of classical Chinese and western art.

Shanghai is a fast-growing, exciting and cosmopolitan blend of eastern and western values. This distinctive exhibition will be symbolic of this as the artists use a traditional Chinese art form in an original manner, which represents a foreigner's perspective. The students' aim is to develop and encourage the appreciation of this aspect of Chinese culture amongst all communities.

There will be no admission charge for this event, which will be open to the general public as well as Shanghai's expatriate community.  During the exhibition's nine days there will be practical and interactive painting demonstrations held for both adults and children.
