So you have a dog, cat, bird, turtle or other family pet. You are moving to Shanghai. If you pet is part of the family and there is no way you are going to give them away.. you have some steps to take. The goodnews is that you can move pets to Shanghai. It is possible. We elected to give our cats aways to other friends and family. It was just too big a deal with every thing we had to do. We got new cats here. Allied and other airline have ways to ship pets. The pets will not like it, but they will get through. Cats are good pets for Shanghai... dogs are another matter - apartment living is not for dogs, IMHO.



Vet clinics are very cheap compared to US. We only paid 100 RMB to have our male cat fixed ( vs US$100 in Seattle ).
