Get a tailor to make a suit or a dress. There are a lot of great places to get a suit made. Hong Kong used to be the place (and there are probably some great tailors there), but given how expensive Hong Kong has become, you can probably get a better deal in Shanghai. If you want to select your own material, there are several large fabric stores on Nanjing West Rd, especially in the pedestrian walk section east of Xizang Rd.
