If you are an expat in Shanghai, so far the best place I have been is O'Malleys on Taojiang Rd near Wulumuqi Rd. This Irish Pub features live Irish music, a good pool table, good food, and as many pints of good beer as you care to partake in and - oh yeah - lots of expats.

I have been there several times, always a lot going on. The manager with a bit of Irish brogue comes around and makes sure everyone is having a good time. If you come often, you will meet a lot of interesting people. Worth a stop.
