Verbatim: On inspection of working licenses

Whether you're a legal eagle or legalese just floats your boat, you're sure to love the (drum roll, please):

Notice on the annual Inspection of "Working License for Foreigners", "Working License for People from Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao" and "Working Permit in Shanghai for Chinese who Reside in Foreign Countries"

If the term of "Working License for Foreigners" or "Working License for People from Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao" or "Working Permit in Shanghai for Chinese Who Reside in Foreign Countries" is more than one year (not including one year), annual inspection after one year of issuance of the license or permit or the last inspection is one year ago, the inspection shall be proceeded thirty days in advance.

I. Documents to be submitted for the application of annual inspection of "Working License for Foreigners", "Working License for People from Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao" and "Working Permit fin Shanghai for Chinese who Reside in Foreign Countries":

1. One copy of "Application Form for the Annual Inspection of Working License for Foreigners" or "Application Form for the Annual Inspection of Working License for People from Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao" or "Application Form for the Annual Inspection of Working Permit in Shanghai for Chinese who Reside in Foreign Countries". (Can be downloaded from the Internet.

2. Original copy of "Working License for Foreigners" or "Working License for People from Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao" or "Working Permit fin Shanghai for Chinese who Reside in Foreign Countries".

3. If there is change on the working license, please bring relevant certifications of the change.

4. Foreigners are required to bring his/her own "Permit of Residence for Foreigners". (original and copy).

5. People from Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao are required to bring his/her own "License for Taiwan Residents to Go Back and Forth to Mainland" or "Permit of Temporary Residence for People from Hong Kong and Macao". (original and copy).

6. Chinese who reside in foreign countries shall bring his/own permit of temporary residence and "Working Permit in shanghai for Chinese who Reside in Foreign Countries.

II. The application of annual inspection of "Working License for Foreigners", "Working License for People from Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao" and "Working Permit in Shanghai for Chinese who Reside in Foreign Countries":

1. Log on the web site of Shanghai Labor and Social Security. (http://www.12333.gov.cn)

2. Click "Application of Employment for Non-locals".

3. Click "Annual Inspection of working licenses.

4. Click " Foreigners" or "People from Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao" and "Chinese who Reside in Foreign Countries"

5. If there is change on the working license, application for the change shall be submitted together with the application for annual inspection. Please tick in the relevant column.

6. Choose relevant column and fill out relevant information according to screen order. The application is thus submitted online.

The application of annual inspection for "Working License for Foreigners", "Working License for People from Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao" and "Working Permit in Shanghai for Chinese who Reside in Foreign Countries" needs one working day. (If there is change on the working license and permit, the application needs three working days.)
