I'm an Singaporean Indian here on internship. I'll be here for a considerable amount of time. This is my first time in China and will be glad to meet ppl over the weekend! I've only been here for 5 days...any suggestions for what I can do here? |

The best Indian restaurant I have been to in Shanghai has to be Delhi Zaiqa...The food is amazing. For the first time I didnt get heartburn or indigestion. Its in Hongchio/near the place i needed to go for the medical for visa. I have the phone somewhere. Highly recommended.
Tandoori chicken, malai kebabs, sarson ka saag, daal maash....im drooling! |

| Post subject: Hi British Indian here. . . |
Hello chaps,
Nice to read a vibrant thread on a forum for once!
I am a 31 yo British Indian and I may be offered a role in Shanghai as a financial adviser. Selling mainly to expats.
I have a few contacts out there but ostensively will be looking to make lots of new contacts.
Pretty usual single guy - socialising, sports women, money, friends. . . allmean lots to me!
I suppose I would like to know a little from you guys how it was when you first got there. Did you arrive with friends? Partners?
Any tips?
Thanks. |

Hi, the Confereration of Indian Industry (CII) are here in Shanghai and there is a chamber the China-India Chamber of Commerce, based in Mumbai, but they organise a lot of China events with the CCPIT. Other very good reading is the China-India website 2point6billion.
Google for details. India Briefing www.india-briefing.com/news for those interested in India and keeping up to date with India business news, and a good free magazine, the guys that do that are advisors to Tata and Reliance....an dthey have a unique China angle....Food I hang out at Vedas - great mustard seed chicken...sikh cuisine. Way to go Aneet! |

lol..I'm also a British Indian. I think all that Conference stuff is OTT..lol. I've been here 9 months now and I was pretty nervous when I got here, about indian food actually mainly indian food. But you can actually get everything here. You just have to look in the right places. There's a great website called Indian Kitchen, you can call them an order all the masala's, achars etc.. there num is 02162619713. Call them, they deliver also 4 quite cheap. Hope that help. It sure made me happy once i made my parathae and mango achar..hehe.. |

Hello all,
Is there a group or indian association that regularly meets up? Especially with Diwali coming up, I thought it'd be nice to form a group of interested people to either meet up for drinks post work or have a satisfying indian dinner some time this week or next. Its been way too long, at least for me. Im an Indian american, 26. Feel free to PM me or respond to the thread so we can hopefully gain a quorum and plan something (assuming something isn't already in the works). cheers,
vin |

Hi, I am Shanghainese. Quite impressed by Indian culture.
Could anybody tell me where I can learn Indian dance?(either traditional Indian dance or Bolleywood dance) Thank you so much!
Wish you enjoy the days in Shanghai! |
