| Post subject: Dogs and Cats... Adoption Party |
Hi Everyone,
Our animal rescue group is having an adoption party this Sunday February 15th. We are another group of Chinese and Expat animal lovers who rescue homeless cats and dogs off of the streets of Shanghai. Please don't confuse us with SCAA (another great organization) as we are seperate from them. All of our animals are vaccinated, health checked, and if they are old enough spayed or neutered.
Sunday, 15th Feb. 2009, from 11:00am - 2:00pm. at the following address:-
淮海西路570号,上海艺术中心H105。 红厨意大利餐厅
Huai Hai Xi lu, number 570, Red Town art center unit H-105 Rosso Italian Restaurant.
Please tell all your friends, and anyone else you know who is interested in adding a pet to their family to come for brunch and to meet the animals that are up for adoption. There is no adoption/donation fee required for this group, however we only adopt out to loving and responsible individuals. We have over 15 dogs and 10 cats that are looking for loving and caring homes!!
Please join us, and all are welcome!!! |

Hi 8lrr8,
There is no adoption fee for our group. All we want are good homes for our animals. Are you thinking of joining us? |

i'm considering it. it'd probably be a cat, a dog requires far more time/effort to own. |

Really great what you are doing. Hats off to you, but why not charge the costs that you have spent? I doubt animal lovers would mind that. I certainly wouldn't.

Hello Monalisa.
Thank you for your message. We do not ask or encourage donations or charge fees. This is your discretion if you want to donate money to JAR - Jaiya's Animal Rescue. My wife and I named our organisation in memory of our baby daughter that died of SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome - Feb 14th 2009).
If people do decide to donate money, we will always use this to the next animal we save off the streets for medical/vaccination checks
Please check another link we posted....

If anyone is interested in receiving our up to date Powerpoint file with all our dogs that are in need of adopting/fostering, please do not hesitate to email us on shanghaidogs@gmail.com
Thank you for all your support!
Marvin |

@marvster.
Hi Marvin. Yes, I heard recently about your terrible loss.
Please accept my sincere sympathy.
It's great that you have started such a positive organization in your daughter's name.
I have written to Julia a few times with regard to the "dog sweep" some time ago, and I sent a letter to the Shanghai Mayor, but sadly he did not reply. Perhaps I should have sent it in Chinese, but surely he has access to interpretors.
My wife and I have 2 miniature Liwawa doggies, so have no need of pets at this stage, but I know where to go now, and will pass on info to a few people I know here.
Good luck with your wonderful enterprise.
John. |
