@morton
well at will's you need a membership, once you have it you can join any class there. they have hatha and ashtanga, but i don't think you need to bring along any stuff for that
haha whats a yoga-ball anyway? |

hi,
im staying only for 2 months in shanghai so they had to improvise a bit, but they let me pay 1000 yuan. it includes entry to the swimmingpool (dunno if yours has one, but you can go to the other branches too) and classes (yoga,pilates.dance etc) the dressing rooms are clean and the staff is really friendly and professional. for 200 yuan (each time) you can have a personal trainer for about an hour and a half. |

i think it is quite expensive even though the swimmingpool and yoga classes are included.. but it is acceptable. |

hey leo, did you join the gym near caoyang and ningxia? I'm looking to join a gym and live near that area. How is that gym and does it have a swimming pool? Also, how much did you pay? |

Anyone ever had any experience of Alexander fitness, just found one where I'm staying on Lujiabang road in the old town. It has a swimming pool. Think I may join if it is not a rip off, anyone used this company before? |

I'm the one who got ripped off but it's still cheaper than tera wellness!
the environment is pretty good. though i only use machines and free weights.
the pool...well if you want to just soak and play then it's good, but if you wanna do laps then.....good luck. |

Check the Will's on Luban road/Liyuan road near (Datong Compound) about 10 minutes walk from your place. Much cheaper than Alexander for equal service. They also have a swimming pool. |

Me and mine got memberships at Will's Gym in Zhong Shan park: 3600 RMB for 36 months (mine was slightly more but I got a multi-gym pass so I can use the one that's on the way to East China Normal University). I like it though I don't go often enough - the classes are pretty good (we've been to a couple). The pool isn't that big but it's not too tiny and the place seemed pretty clean all the times we went. My only complaint is that the juice bar is way too expensive (I can get a fresh crushed ice or smoothy on the street a few blocks away for 4-6RMB, why should I pay 20-30RMB? |
