AMCHAM - 5th July
AMCHAM has their 4h July Party TOMORROW out at Le Meredian in She Shan. Don't know if tickets are all sold out. It is a bit of a hike to get out there and 350rmb for tickets (non members). Not sure if SOLD OUT.
Nice to see the British not harbouring too many hard feelings on this day.
ENJOY!!!

| Post subject: Day at the Beach...Kind of |
I found this...Should be some bikini's.
a beach party, right in Shanghai! Come enjoy to the white sand, warm sunshine, blue skies, palm trees and BBQ—and you don't even have to leave the city! Really!!
All are welcome!
Cost after July 1:
Adults: 208 RMB/person;
Kids under 12: 120 RMB/person;
Kids under 4: free.
Also, please see the attached map which shows how to get to the clubhouse once you have arrived at Shimao Riviera Garden .
When: Saturday, July 4th, 14:00-18:00. There will be no make-up date: this time it’s “rain or shine.” Not to worry, though: we’ll be able to use an indoor area if the weather isn’t cooperating again;
Where: Shimao Riviera Garden ( 1 Weifang Road West , Pudong), The Clubhouse Roof and Beach (yes, complete with sand and palm trees, and a wave pool!)
BBQ + Open Bar: from 14:00-17:00, including Coke, Spirit, Qingdao beer and Australia red wine. After 17:00 guests must buy their own drinks.
Venue: Shimao Rivera Tropical Beach Club: West Weifang Road (Near Puming Road), 1#Line, Pudong Program: Sun/Swimming/Chatting/Music/Dancing/BBQ |

Sounds like the event at The Boxing Cat turned into a puking contest. I'm tipping they'll rethink that drinking competition idea next time, as we all know yanks can't drink. |

Actually, I am really sorry. I did think of you guys but there was nothing in the listings and I'd run out of time to research thoroughly as I was reading all the things in the history of mankind that happened on July 4th.
Exhuastive!!
Still love the fact that "Alice in Wonderland" was published on the same day. So, two very important events occured. They leave the rest for dead
