| Post subject: Best offshore investment consultant in Shanghai? |
Dear all,
I have been contacted many times in past by the investor consultant in Shanghai (Essential-finance, D.eve.re&Partners, MontPellier, Elite finance, AustenMoris…) but i was not ready to subscribe for any investment plan, until now where i am more confident by the market situation (end of recession => good time to invest)
All these consultant selling almost the same product from Aviva, Providence, Generali…
- Do you have any feed back to help for my choice on these Shanghai financial services?
- Have you signed with one these companies? How do you feel on your investment plan?
Regards
William |

Yes just what I was thinking. These threads normally separate into three types of people.
1 The one that say their advisor is the best,
2 The advisors that pretend to be "normal" people and plug themselves,
3 Those that say the companies are all scammers and that you should manage your money yourself, although they rarely give details as to hiow you should do this.
For what its worth I am with essential finance as basically most of the products these companies sell are the same but essential has some customer features that the others don't. So I guess that puts me into category 1 above... |

So firmly under catagory 3 then "manage your money yourself, although they rarely give details as to how you should do this" |

Yes, all these agents basically sell plans from the same few companies (Generali, Friends Provident Intl etc). What makes the difference is the quality of the funds chosen by the agent as well as his ability to manage and make changes when the market demands it. MOST agents are bad at this and rarely manage the funds actively enough because they spend most of their time selling new plans in order to make more money. A few agents are better and will look after existing clients' needs as well.
I use an agent and have plans with both Generali and Friends Provident International and I am quite happy with how they are performing but I won't mention the agent I use so I can't be accused of plugging. |

If the value of the dollar went down X% and the market went up by the same X% it didn't actually change. The recession is far from over, just temporarily propped up by redonkulous government spending, loaning and general money printing.
