lives are 100 times more colorful and fun than singapore, honestly, there's barely nothing to do besides shopping in Singgapore, i'm not a singaporean but have been there quite a few times, and has friends there who has the same comments after they move from shanghai to singapore. Shanghai will definately run your blood faster than singgapore. Besides the pollution problem, you can get everyting you want as long as you are willing to pay money for it, thousands TV channels, fresh fruits(not as many viraties, that's ture), nice living enviroment......just like any other bing cities in the world. |

Hi fellow shingaporeas, I am a mom to 2 young kids, 9yo and 4 yo, if I can survive as a not-so-young person, so can you.
Also, be a dare-devil when crossing roads. The zebra crossing is everywhere but don't expect cars to stop for you. Food is ok but avoid pi-fen-tang. Food is oily, utensils are oily. That's my experience.
My greatest dislike is the polluted air, I guess that's b'cos I'm a mum and I watch over my kids' health like a hawk.
Would suggest that if budget allows, stay in Pudong and rent a service apt. Fraser Suites is managed by Singaporeans and very good. Try not to go for local apts, not that I am prejudiced but their hygiene is a concern. |

There are many cliques of Singaporeans in Shanghai. Some of them organise soccer sessions, some of them organise makan gatherings... some of them single guys organise trips to k... ah well you know what I mean.
I sent Choo a pm on where to find one of these cliques on yahoo groups. Check it. |

KelW,
No embassies in SH. There are consulates here.
Near to the consulate area, yes. But there are also some in town. |
