Post subject: Can anyone recommend a pet sitting service?

Just wondering if anyone has had experience with an in-home pet sitting service in Shanghai and if you would recommend them?

I have also used Petinshanghai and was very pleased. For a live in petsitter it was 200 per day with a discount for over 14 days I think

PETPARK will be a good enough choice. It is inexpensive but a comfortable and nice place.

I wouldn't have a pet shop board your pet unless you want your pet stuffed in a wire cage all day.

^^ agreed.

I wonder if the any of the foster families that work with organisations like SCAA or JAR would take on animals short term since the revenue could be used to help with animals that don't yet have homes.

Let us know what you settle(d) on pls with associated costs etc.

I have an appointment with petinshanghai to come do a visit, so I'm going to go from there. When we were in the States, we had someone come to the house, which worked out great since the dogs could stay in their own environment. I'll let you know if I go with petinshanghai and how they do.

When i used pets in shanghai, i only opted for the day service which was 110rmb per day i think, which included 2 walks (30mins each) and feeding the dog and any other needs which you might have whilst your away.

No complaints.

Agree that its not cheap, but i think my dog would be more comfortable to stay in his own environment whilst i was away.

i would never leave my dog at a local pet shop...

Thanks for the recommendation, Karma. I'm sure they'll work out fine and my dogs will be happier for staying at home.

Does Petpark leave them in a cage all day long?

The environment is neat, and organized. Each dog will have its own single indoor bedroom which is air conditioned, also a daily 2-3 hours of outdoor activities

What do you exactly mean by this?

You would pay me if I would look after your dog/cat ?

The pet shop where we are buying the food for our zoo is also boarding pets. The owner was really proud whe he showed me the newly renovated cages etc. and also told me "well, once a day we put the smaller dogs in this large cage so that they have some exercise ...blabla" Confused

He is also charging 60 kuai per day.

Our dog and cat need to be able to walk about..... (jeez and this smell of urine there was really disgusting ..... after boarding your pet there you'll need to house train them again .....)
