Wait... Something's up. Was it just me or did Shanghai Expat & more specifically, Michael, win something today?
I'm pretty sure that was a WIN for Mike's Chili!!! Not the big win but some good recognition! Fantastic! Congrats!!! |

It was alot of fun. I think we got it right this year. Tabasco won the Best Chili 1st place. Shanghaiexpat won 2nd of a field of 18 teams! Not bad for us. It was a good effort! We made some great chili! TexAus ( independent guys from Tex and Australia ) won 3rd. Cafe Agave won People's Choice with their chili and other significant motivating perqs for the voters.
Thanks to Glory Foods for sponsoring the meat. We used around 8 kilo of Grade A strip loin in it.

Thanks to all that came out. It was truly a great day. Good weather, good/great chili, fantastic live music, and basically one hell of a street party. We had around 650 people on the day. Next year we'll push for 1,000 and try to get the tree lined street next to Bubba's as the venue.
If you missed it....don't ignore it next year......
