| Post subject: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 |
Just got my Collectors Edition from Play-Asia (9 days before release  ). My X360 got RRoD but I played a little bit on my friends Xbox.

I think it is Wave 4, so I'm going to have to wait until iXtreme gets their new firmware out. I think you already added me to play borderlands though. |

You should buy original stuff. I'm done with pirated games, had 2 Xbox 360 banned because of pirated games, now I'm 100% clean and bought almost all games that I had and worse replaying at Play-Asia (26 games in total). Anyway CoD4 and Modern Warfare 2 are MUST BUY. |

I own about 20-30 games original, but when buying games is so hard here (especially with PAL box) i'd rather just mod it.
If i was still in europe or games were easily available here (and non region protected) i'd definitely buy them....
Don't feel like buying a new xbox and going thru the hassle though. And my live is still working (for now anyway...) |

I got a new Xbox yesterday. Japanese console. Cost 1740rmb. Born on date was july xx 2009. Watched the guy flash it in front of my eyes. Took about 10 minutes. Had to take out the dvd drive and install new firmware via a computer. Not complicated at all. Said he would charge 60 rmb to flash an unmodded Box.
A different vendor had COD4 Modern Warfare but said it was an advance copy and come back next week it will be in stock. |

yea modding is quite easy indeed... Easy profit for them... I paid 100 for it...
Is the 1740 for elite or arcade?
As Esspea already said tho, best to wait for new firmware if you wanna play online that is.. |

Arcade version was 1740rmb.Elite was 2400 rmb and really i was not sure that the 120gb HD was worth the extra $100. All else seemed to be the same except black colors. |

No. On Xbox 360 even if you have US or EU GamerTag you can change location in settings, I set it to Hong Kong, 9 of 10 matches I'm connected to Taiwanese, Hong kong chinese, Koreans or Japanese, no lag at all, always 4 stripes. Sometimes I got connected to Australia or US, 2 stripes to Australia and 2-3 stripes to US.
Also I gave friends from US, that live in Korea and Japan and work at military base, so I usually play with them in a team.

Buy from Play-Asia, they have US versions of games and most of them Region Free or PAL+NTSC U/C (Fallout 3 and Oblivion for example). So I buy games at their shop, delivery is quiet fast, 1 buisness day with FedEx and 6-7 days with Airmail. Airmail is also free to China. |

I'll take FPS with a controller over spending hundreds of dollars a year to keep up with the newest pc game. Skipped frame rates from playing a new game on an older computer are far more annoying than getting used to shooting with a stick. |

That's not even remotely true anymore. I haven't updated my computer in 2 years and I can run the latest games. Geforce 9600 GSO. Got it for 100USD. Newegg. You can get something even better than that now for the same price. You don't need to constantly update your computer. RAM is dirt cheap as well.
FPS will always be dominant on the PC. I used to be consoles-only for that, but keyboard and mouse is the ideal. And it's just usually more fun and can support more people. Better graphics too. And mods are easier. And private free servers. |

I think i read somewhere that IW is not going to allow private servers, but that you will have to play on IW servers MW 2
...and there is no way i want to juggle around with mouse and keyboard and trying figure out which button to push....i and my PS3 control are one;-) |
