Post subject: Dog Sitter or boarding kennel?

i will be away for the oct holidays, and my ayi is also not in town, so im thinking of either finding a dog sitter (ie, pets in shanghai) or sending my puppy to a kennel.

Im sorta against the idea of the kennel. but i have heard there is a very good one in pudong. Anyone can recomend?

Also, anyone used 'pets in shanghai' services before? what did you think?

Hi "karma",

I've just moved to Shanghai and missing my dogs (a rottweiler and a german shepherd) so much. I can't buy a dog over here as I'm only here for one year and wouldn't want to put it through quarantine.
However I wouldn't mind dogsitting your dog whilst you are away?
No charge, just money for his/her food!
What breed of dog do you have?
I live on Huaihai Xi Lu, on the outskirts of the French Concession.

Regards,

Chanella

Chanella, you should foster a dog for a year through JAR or SCAA. Search for them on this site.

As just posted in another thread: We had our dog for boarding at Bark and had a very pleasant experience. Just google "Bark+Shanghai" and you'll find it. Run by a New Zealand Lady and her chinese partner and originally a grooming shop, but they do boarding too + animal are only caged at night.
