Post subject: Help in Job Hunting

Its really nice to know that so many expats are willing to share information about living and working in Shanghai. However I just can\'t help but notice that when it comes to help needed in job hunting........not much assistance here. Please correct me if I am wrong but it will be wonderful if there is someone there who can sincerely assist people like me who would love to be able to relocate to Shanghai.
Thank you.

There are people that do that.. they are called recruiters. As much I as I would like to help everyone who want to come here find a job.. its a big job finding jobs. My part of helping find people jobs is to run this board. As people who come here know about job openinng.. I should hope they would post something in the jobs section.

hello there.
it all depends on what field of work u are in.
as i posted before some time ago in the site if u are a chef or work in restaurant/hotel business u should have better chances because restaurant peoples knows a lot. they work with lot of others restaurant peoples and meet lot of peoples in different fields of work. so it is helpfull to meet foreigners in the hospitality industry.
i am myself in china at the present time and ready to open a western bar/restaurant in changzhou in my girlfriend town ( no sars there yet) i am looking for a partner. more and more foreigners will come because all the new land as been sold to foreign companies. in a few years it should be a new expat town.
anyway good luck.

Michal is damn right. In shanghai finding jobs as a chinese citizen is mission impossible. Do you have a BIG degree? BUY one NOW if plenty of cash.

Michal, thanks so much for the wonderful work. Had a website myself. I know for sure how much time it costs. Forget about Leifeng whoever, Mike rocks! Where r u from?
