Post subject: CNN,,, and others,,

Is anyone else getting the 'dreaded white page' when trying to access CNN, Yahoo, or any other sites?? For the past 4 days I have not been able to go to ANY of them. I know from time to time "China does that" but never for this long. Am I the only one?

I just tried CNN and to my surprise, I can open it now - couldn't before. I can always open Yahoo but it takes ages to load!

I wonder if it has anything to do with different connections. My building provides FTTB.

I have never had a problem with CNN, Google, Yahoo and the like.
I seem to have more problems with less popular sites... Thought if I rety enough times sometimes they come through

It was MY CONNECTION,, not sure why but they were out today, and reset my "D-Link"---- which I THOUGHT was a splitter to have 2 computers,--- but the guy kept calling it a router. I really did not care WHAT it was !! At first he kept telling me it is because "it is in USA"---- Well I know they are SLOW,, but to NOT be able to EVER get them for 4 days is assinine. So he connected HIS computer with out going thru the 'splitter' and VOILLLAAAAA CNN. It was becoming very serious, my husband could not d/load emails from the USA and he was starting to become bitchy with ME !!! Oh well all is well now but thanks for the info.
