Post subject: Moving to Shanghai next year.

We are looking at moving to Shanghai next year, we have just returned from a weeks visit. My question is where do kids play soccer? I know some of the compounds have soccer fields, but is there no other parks around? We saw a number of parks whilst we where over, but they were more like what we would call walking tracks. Are there not any that have large grass area where one can kick a ball around or have a picnic? Thanks!

you can also try the soccer field next to the Dulwich School in Pudong. great big field with some nice restaurants and a Starbucks. The school itself has a great big lawn too.

my son's in the AKS (Active Kids Club) soccer team. They play every Sunday. There are hundreds of expat kids, all in different groups by age and by skill level, and they're all over the field having a blast! The parents have a good time chatting with each other and coahing their little ones, it's a nice way to spend a Sunday morning.

Where is this AKS? I'll be in Shanghai with my 3 kids end of December and my son would love to play soccer ( or football as I'd call it!!).
What age can they start?
