Post subject: Children Friendly Hotel in Thailand

Hi All,

I stayed at Holiday Inn in Phuket one Christmas and there was not only a kid's pool but also a children's play room where you could drop your small children for a few hours and another playroom for young teens to play games etc. It's great for families.

This time I would like to try another similar hotel somewhere else in thailand. Koh Samui, bangkok, phuket or anywhere nice will be fine.

Any suggestions?

Thanks! Razz

When I was a little girl, we use to go on family vacations to Club Meds all the time. They have kids clubs, where they have organized activities for kids. We always had a blast and my parents got a few hours of alone time each day (which I'm sure they enjoyed).

There are quite a few in SEA. You should check them out. Have fun!

Anyone has any recommandation on a hotel in Koh Samui which is also good for children?

Thanks!

We went to Ko Samui just before Christmas and stayed at the Central Beach Resort - they had a kids club and activities but mine have outgrown that sort of thing. I did laugh to see a fishing session with 5 young kids and the hotel employee fishing in the fountain pond. Looked like they were having fun. We loved the hotel - great beach front, pool, restaurants, etc.

Samui might be a good choice. I stayed at the Amari on Chaweng and loved it, though not sure about facilities for children. Large list of hotels on www.res24.com

The Hard Rock Hotel in Pattaya is always a bit hit with kids. There's an enormous fresh water (uses filters, no chlorine) pool in front, half of which is an artificial beach. Music, lots of activities, etc.

Just checked out the Samui Central Beach Resort and it's full the first 2 nights we will be there Sad Is it the same one as you mentioned tnmom?

Yes we are also considering Amari but no kid's facilities are mentioned in their website.

Still searching and time is running out...

Yes, that's where we stayed. Central has another hotel, the Central Samui Village, but I don't know if there is a kids program there or not. The website is http://www.centralhotelsresorts.com
