Traquair Fair
During the sunny week-end of Saturday 31st and Sunday 1st August, 2004, the 25th Anniversary of the Traquair Fair was an exciting programme of world and traditional music, dance, theatre, acrobats, clowning, puppetry and lots of children's entertainments, crafts stalls and the complementry medicine marquee.
The Fair highlighted Hidden World Cultures and featured performers, artists and craftspeople from countries where there is no free cultural expression. A Hidden World Cultures Marquee hosted writers and poets from countries such as t¡bet, Zimbabwe and Kurdistan. The HoHodza Band from Zimbabwe with 13 dancers and singers performed on stage and give workshops throughout the weekend.
