Post subject: Special Education / Tutors

We are considering a job opportunity in Shanghai. Our biggest question at this point is the availability of special education / tutors there for our 5 year old son.

He is developmentally delayed (like an average 3.5 year old) and is currently set-up now for pre-school / kindergarten this next year.

Does anyone know if there are any English speaking schools catering to special education needs? Or private tutor's that are available?

Would appreciate any feedback you may have.

For school.. I have no idea..

Tutors.. shouldn't be too difficult to find.. there are quite a few big therapy centers for kids with special needs in shanghai.. pity i can't remember all of them now.. but one is in Children's medical center in Pudong.. Maybe they can help u find a tutor? I know another one run by a HK foundation, so I am sure they should have English speaking tutor available too.

Otherwise.. maybe u can look for college students who major in special education.. as far as i know.. East China Normal university is the only school in shanghai that has this major..
