Shanghai circus has events nightly.
Another theater on Beijing Lu near WanhangDu Lu also has nightly acrobatics shows.
Sorry, dont have the info handy but many of the weekly/monthly rags do have this info. |

yeah, and if they knew how to market it all and put it together into some surreal storyline, we would have Cirque du Solei! |

it would be nice if i can get a few comments on people who have seen any of the acrobatic shows, i normally do,nt go to touristy packaged shows,i,m lucky in the sense that edinburgh hosts ,the biggest street festival in the world,so i am surrounded by street performers of all abilities and enthusiasm,so it would be nice to get some rounded views
thank you oh and prices might be helpfull

Hi all, I'm resurecting this thread to see if anybody has the details for any chinese acrobatics shows tonight. I realise that the mags have listings but don't have them around today. I have foreign colleagues in town and am looking for a suitable event for this evenings entertainment. Thx |

Pay me 10kwai and I'll do a handstand and a few tumbles for you and your friends. Pretty sure that I can't bend over backwards or balance twenty spinning plates on my nose but I guarantee that it'll be entertaining. |

Shanghai Centre theatre has acrobats on most nights of the week I believe. RMB 200 for the best seats going down to RMB 100 and RMB 50. Show goes for 1 1/2 hours - nothing in comparison to Cirque de Soleil performances but a good night's entertainment nonetheless. Buy tickets from the box office at Shanghai Centre. |

What Brisbane girl said, is right. I have seen it twice and impressed both times. Shanghai Centre theater is on Nanjing Xi Lu and part of the Portman Hotel complex. Buy in advance and get some really good 100RMB seats. |

Thanks for the offer BaoLe but...
Brisbanegirl & travelinjack3 - sounds perfect. I spoke with them and they have shows every night in March which start at 7.30pm. Thx again |

The shows at the Shanghai Centre are never sold out so you can just pay at the door. |

Actually, there's been at least 1 incidence where the tickets were really sold out when I tried. |

Good seats do sell out and are worth it. Wild to have them swinging out over your head on silk strips of fabric.
I have heard that the ERA - Intersection of Time: Shanghai Circus World is very cool. That it has some Cirque elelments to it. |
