Not just Shanghainese girls are superficial, everyone is. Do you think those babes in LA are any less superficial? Hell NO! Everyone wants a good life, and they do what they can to get there. It\'s up to you to decide how much superficiality you\'re willing to accept. |

I must admit... I myself am superficial... seriously... i wouldnt date a fat guy or an ugly guy... he has to be hot or at least cute for me to consider... no way would i ever date an ugly guy or be seen in public holding his hand... geeewww... yeah i know i sound superficial but hey thats the way I am... Im probably just inmature... but I bet I could find a good lookin guy thats also nice at heart and all that... a good relationship also involves physical attraction.
Even if a guy is cute. but if he is fat- then no way am I dating him...
well... I have met one chubby guy that was really cute and nice and i would consider... but mostly its a cold no. |

I suggest to bring own girlfriend with you since this are really 2 different cultures. I have tried with chinese girls, but their thinking is totaly different. For example they think every boy is a cheater or a playboy. Just keep the girls there as good friend only and never invest any sentiments othewise you will be very dessapointed. Chinese girls are pretty and very helpfull, also you can have a lot of fun with them, but NEVER NEVER invest any sentiments!!!!
My girlfriend follow me to china and i was the most happiest boy in the world, and many chinese boys was really crazy about her and i am of course very proud about that.

To merry to leave China is the wrong way. I am born in Romania and lived 22 years in Germany, i am (still) working for the german airline Lufthansa since 1990 i traveled a lot all over the world and i saw many countries, many cultures, but for me personally is China the greatest one and i decided to stay in China forever. So don\'t try look forward to leave China, stay in your country, you may be dessapointed from Europe. Europe is nice to have some vacation there, but no more. |

Like everyone else on this board is telling you, there are some truth to how girls in Shanghai are superficial and only after money, regardless you are foreign or not. But this isn\'t just a Shanghai phenomenon. There are people where I live who are middle class with nice homes and cars, still, they are gold diggers. Some people can never be satisfied... so gold diggers are everywhere, but not everyone is a gold digger. Generalization and Assumption aren\'t good. Didn\'t your elementary teacher teach you this already? :casstet: |

but on the other hand Shanghaiese girls also have a good side: nice-hearted to family and olds, conservative, optimistic, strong and always clear-headed.
Everyone follows money, including me, and you all. But the most important is, during the pursue do not get yourself lost. otherwise it\'s hell. |
