| Post subject: Typing Chinese with "azerty" keyboard under Mac. |
Hello, there.
Somebody knows a way that enables typing Chinese with an "azerty" keyboard under Mac? To swift between "azerty" and "qwerty" makes me "zerrr..." |

I think this website has your answer:
http://homepage.mac.com/thgewecke/mlingos9.html
But for simplicity
"To activate the keyboards and palettes you go the Desktop menu, then to System Preferences, International, and Input Menu and check the appropriate boxes. Also make sure to check the box at the bottom left for showing the Input Menu (also known as the "flag" menu) at the top right the Finder. The Preferences Input Menu lets you see the possible keyboard shortcuts for switching scripts and keyboards. By default these are not active, but can be made so by poking the button which takes you to Keyboard & Mouse Preferences/Keyboard Shortcuts. Also in the Input Menu there are choices for Input Sources for documents.
To see which key does what for a keyboard, use the Keyboard Viewer mentioned above. Pressing the physical Option, Shift, and Option+Shift keys will show what these combinations produce."

Lucky:
My keyboard is set as "azerty", most of the time writing in French and English, and sometimes in Chinese. For the moment, I manage to type Chinese with "qwerty" in pinyin. That's why I'd like to find the way to type Chinese in pinyin but with "azerty".
Ren:
Thanks for your precious indication. I'll let you know the result. |
