Hi,
Of Course I\'m no biology expert. But I suspect that chinese food has been prepared in the same way as it has done for 3-5 thousand years in Guandong, so why has SARS come into the forefront now ??
Being a native of the UK of course many will remember the \'mad cow\' disease in our country a few years back?
(Everytime we went abroad we had to walk on disinfectant mats at the ports/airports etc etc..)
That was caused by farmers feeding animals with unauthorised food (animal scraps \'offel\', if i remember correctly) due to monetary shortages to buy the proper feed grain required. Is there such the same problems currently in China, whereas the the farmers have no choice but to feed their animals \'unclean food\' ???
We all know Chinese health policy is a lot to be desired (but personally I love the food anyway), but I just wonder why now this SARS thing has happened and why it could happen again so soon ?? Something must have changed in the farming/ food process over the last few years for it to occur and re-occur so soon ?
Anyway its just an observation !!!

hmm i found the news that SARS will coexist with humanbeings like the flu actually i do not think it is so deadly as once the flu attacked man as far as i know much more ppl were killed by flu as the hygiene aspected is concerned yep guangzhou ppl really eat lotss of wild animals which should be under protection it is a pity :casstet: |

Traditionally, Cantonese Chinese eats almost anything that moves. What can you do? SARS is just another epidemic in China. Chinese people definitely have to do something to raise their hygiene standard. Stop spitting is their first priority.
I really wish China and Chinese people learn to strive towards excellence in all spheres of individual and collective activity, so that the nation constantly rises to higher levels of endeavor and achievement. |
