natalie, you should go to toastmasters, or any other english-speaking events, regularly if you are determined to improve your english, be it american/british/international.
you work on your english grammar & vocabulary first, then you work on your oral skills and accent. read english books by well-known writers will surely improve your grammar and vocab (preparation), and going to events will immerse you in english-speaking environments (practice).
in fact, why don't you start by joining people at today's BBQ. sounds like a fun event, but unfortunately i can't go.

Nathalie's English is ok, both grammar and vocabulary. It will of course improve. What worries me is the content of her posts, not the form. I suggest Nathalie tries to work on her reasoning skills, analytical thinking, etc.

Dear Frenchlover1999, please give me a help on it, cause I sometimes really need to work on my reasoning skills and analytical thinkings.

Start amending you thread's title. 104 replies later, some people could appreciate that you do take into consideration their comments on your English.

This would be a good start...

Why do most of Nathalie's posts expand to some very lonnnnngggg threads? She might be the super star here...

Good thing is after 106 replies (including this nonsense by me) her English seems to be better than before.

Nathalie, I feel that sometimes you skim through the posts too quickly without properly reading them and therefore often end up asking questions about things that are stated very clearly. For example.

Benoist_Shanghai responses to Lemongrass' post: Nah, your avatar is the superstar. Who is she?

Lemongrass replies: Her name is Ms.Snail. Want her mobile phone number? I would PM you....

So obviously, Ms. Snail is Lemongrass's avatar and it's her mobile phone number she plans to PM to Benoist_Shanghai. (Please note that this is a joke) You often seem so confused about what people are talking about when in reality, all you have to do is just read through the posts slowly. Hope this is some useful advise for you.

hum, I didn't want to neglect here any posts and neither would skim the posts that the others they have put it here. Well, I am only interested in replying the posts which I think it is hard to me to realize it from or I would only like to reply the posts which it is confused me by the strange words that I will see it here occasionally. (but when i reply the posts to the others, I always speak some jokes in my posts or threads or topics, I dislike doing the things so straight))

Chinesegirl, thanks for your kind suggestion, I needn't to go abroad to learn the english there, I have planned my life targets already, but it just is not as same as yours. Smile

Nathalie, sorry to have confused you here. The reason I posted what I did was because you were asking "Snail? who? Moblie phone number? whose mobile phone number, could you share me it, lemongrass?" these questions are answered in the above threads.

Why did you not go to the BBQ yesterday. As per the PM, my wife was more than willing to accompany you.

AS for learning English in a foreign country. The first manager i ever had was from Taiwan and had studied in America for 6 years, basic english and then degree, and he could not string a comprehensible sentence together.

Nathalie is a fembot. Older generation, can only repeat pre-recorded words and assemble them in predefined sequences.

As I said, a fembot. Even her mistakes sound pre-programmed.
