| Post subject: Where to get Contact Lens? |
Has anyone tried buying disposable contact lens in Shanghai before? I'm thinking of going to one of those Mao Chang stores (saw one along Nanjing West road), but am not sure what the standards are in terms of eyesight review. I need those disposable toric lenses as I have astigmatism. Recommendations ? |

Don't you go to the eye doctor first and let him fit you with the proper lens type and strength?
I remember doing that years ago (in the US a prescription is required so you don't have a choice) and having to be fitted. Didn't like putting my finger in my eye and I always seemed to put them in backwards, even though I made the little taco shape to indicate the proper way, so I gave up. |

I doubt that here in China they have the non-standard shape ones, in case your eyes are slightly irregular. One of my friends bought CL's here in China and one got stuck to her eye and could only be removed with loads of water. Ouch... The shop felt very 'bu hao yisi' though

I saw astigmatism disposable toric lenses in stores. many brands, as Johnson, Qinglang, and other brands from abroad i am not fimilar. I recomend Qingland. I used to use this brand. good feeling. |

There are quite a lot places on nanjing xi lu that you can get disposable contact lens. there are two next to westgate shopping mall. they have in-house doctor and service to fit your lens type and strength.
I got mine there, yep the Mao Chang. I have astigmatism too, and the contact lens I got there works well.
