I have an Advent 7035 Lap top. Somehow I have lost the drivers to my soundcard and all 4 USB ports. Other then that all is fine. My question is can I get a recovery disk for this German made model? Are there English versions of windows XP to be found in Shanghai?

Hey There
1. Forget the recovery disc
2. download the drivers from manufacturers website. If your laptop mfgr does not have a direct website, then your laptop is a so called barebone, which is made bome factories and individually configured sold to many companies. As you are German: Post ur request in the forum of CHIP: www.chip.de They have enough nerds there who know who made this laptop.
3. Pirated versions of Win Xp are available for less than 10RMB. Make sure get the SP 2 version. Buy two discs in case one is not working properly. Ugly to stop windows installation due to damaged CD. As for the sources I am not sure, as I buy the pirated software in HK, but it surely is available (Have seen it) Look for shops who sell DVD's. Also check this forum, I recall software sources where mentioned somewhere.
