| Post subject: Why do english men fear/hate China. |
for western political ideologues, a successful china (doesn't even have to be as rich and as powerful as the us) is a disaster to their premise that their ideology is the ONLY route to prosperity and happyness.
for christian fanatics, a successful china is a disaster to their claim of being the chosen land or the blessed people.
for western culture and racial supremists, a successful china is again a disaster to their delusion and fundamental view of being superior.
for some dominant western companies, a successful china also means a competitor that does or will undercut their profits.
"china threat" is not something that can be rationally explained away. the cause of that fear is far deep down into those people's psyche. all china and chinese should do is to ignore that noise when possible and fight that when necessary. any one-sided concession will only encourage more such bigotry. |

Look at Hong Kong. What a fantastic job we did with that city.
We could have done the same thing for Shanghai but you stupid cnuts let Mao take over. Big mistake! Shanghai woudl still be the banking capital of Asia if you'd let us manage it.

If the english made HongKong, how come most of the english cities are like shiat holes? In fact HongKong is better even than London.
If the english is so smart, why can't they make any HongKong in Africa? Or south Asia?

Don't know about that GDP thing, the pound is pretty inflated already. And don't get me started on that Rover junk. They had the advantage of many years of experience and had the glamour of the media but they managed to run it to ground. How impressive?! That's why one of my German colleague said to me that the english is incapable of creating anything useful now, all they have left is BS. |
