| Post subject: Shipping from the UK |
Hi - Can anyone recommend a good, cheap & reliable shipping company to help me get my stuff over to Shanghai from the UK? I've got a small 2 beds worth of things I need to move.
Thanks in advance

On a related note, I have a box or 2, weighing 10-15kg each which I'd like to ship to Shanghai from the UK, contents are personal items and clothes.
any suggestions ?

Hi Joe, I am getting quotes just now for a similar amount of stuff. The best I can get is from a company called shipit, they are by far the cheapest so far.
You'll find them at
http://www.shipit.co.uk/
When do you need your stuff moving and where is it going from?.

Hi Dougie,
I'm moving from London in about 4 weeks. I'm still deciding what to sell v what to bring - seems quite pricey to ship so I may well sell quite a few things. Does anyone know whether UK electrical items like hi-fi's & TVs work ok in China?

hi,
an easy way to bring extra stuff is by using 'unaccompanied baggage'.
every airline has it. basically, if you are shipping less than 30kg, it is easy. find out from your airline when you have to bring in your case and often they can have it shipped on the same flight as you. much cheaper than using a shipping company. |
