| Post subject: Crib Mattress |
Does anyone know where I could purchase a good quality crib mattress? As long as the quality is good, it can be foam or inner-spring. The ones I found at department stores (like Pacific) are too thin and soft. Thanks! |

I bought a "Good Baby" brand one for my daughter and is has been fine . It cost RMB 159 at the Pacific Department Store I think. It fits in her IKEA crib and standard size US crib sheets. It is about half the thickness of the ones you get in the US, but quite firm. I know some people get IKEA crib mattresses too -- which are even thinner and not a firm.
If you want to spend big bucks, I have seen RMB 1000+ German brand crib mattresses in Isetan and in the Oriental Department Store in Xujiahui. I have no idea if they are any better than the Good Baby one.
One thing to watch out for is that the standard US crib size is larger than the UK standard which is also used in Hong Kong -- so make sure crib, mattress and sheets all match up. |
