The one in Pudong does actually exist, the building itself is under 2/3rds of that big red construction.

Its just for aesthetics i think and i have to admit, because its in the back and beyond of Pudong it does look quite spectacular if you're near to it.

Appears a funky concept but from the two pictures the red table seems dissonant with the rest of the building--dwarfs it, for one.

Perhaps the effect is different on viewing in person.

the twisted donut building is to be the new CCTV tower.

the construction site is at the northeast corner of 3rd ring road and jianguomenwai in beijing. across the street from chinaworld.
