Post subject: You wanna talk Matrix?

The other day I watched all 3 of these in a row. I was too hung over to do anything else. You know, these are amazing films. If you see them enough, you find that they are almost perfect stories loaded with interesting things to talk about.
Agent Smith is one of the greatest villains ever.
What I came to, was that we are guided by a fate we can't control, (such as the Oracle's premonitions) but we are given choices along the path, that is up to us to make.(like Neo)

I've never bothered watching the 2nd and the 3rd one, just not my cup of tea

What put me off totally, is the scene in the first one where Fishburn is tied to a chair in a big room, then this helicopter comes , shoots into the room, everything is blown to smithereens but he doesnt' have a single scratch...

( I know , just a movie, and others are equally unrealistic )

that didn't happen.

you must have been watching another movie.

if you want realism you should watch james bond flicks.

I have indeed seen Tommy Boy. Chris Farley was a fantastic comedian I think. The Ninja one with him was outrageously funny...

None of my threads ever end up of people actually talking about the topic.
So that one scene turned you off fiddler? They are in the matrix, they can control it any way they want. they had good aim.

The Matrix is a very cool movie. I just wasn't into the 2nd and 3rd one. But it was more because i didn't feel like i was getting the full effect on my Haier vaccum tube TV with sh1t sound.

Probably in agreement with most people here. The first movie was brilliant, seen it in the cinema and also at home with big tv and full surround sound and it definitely adds to the viewing enjoyment. 2 and 3 were just crap.

The scene in matrix 1 where he opens up his coat and exposes about 6 machine guns...

They start a blastin, and there's really ronchy machine gun/helicopter heavy metal kinda metal rock full blast. That in a high powered suround sound system kicks ass

Agree with GC. I really enjoyed the first one, didn't like the 2nd. Don't think I watched the 3rd.

I agree with Mag, the Animatrix was truely a work of animated art... great stories, great presentation. The two chapters with the backstory of the matrix were the best imo. So many parallels to our current history... makes it a truely believable philosophic what-if...
