I didn't really understand everything in that article, but I have heard that it is better for you to eat a little butter than to use margarine. This makes sense as butter is a completely natural product and margarine is mostly manufactured.

In complete agreement with bellabella.

Chemicals versus a natural product.

natural product haha. I am sure you wont get any natural product around here. In the end he don't describe how butter is processed.
Most of the butter, as well as the magerine you can buy here made their way half around the world.

someone once did an experiement.

put butter on the table, it will melt and soon attracts ants.

put magarine on the table, it will melt BUT no living things will go near it.

try potato chips too.

You might find the're not. All the butter and margerine available here taste nothing like the product 'halfway round the world', mainly because the are produced in Asia or NZ/Australia.

Margarine tastes completely disgusting. One of the main things that bothers me in restaurants is when they use margarine as a butter substitute (e.g. in sandwiches, or for cooking scrambled eggs etc.). Eggs cooked in margarine are vile.

Both are bad for you.
Butter is just saturated fat, is bad to you, terrible to your vessels, heart, etc.
Margarine is trans fat acid, which is even worse. Besides of being as harmful as the saturated fat, it can cause cancer.
Just use extra virgin olive oil (first cold pressed is prefered) and forget about margarine and butter!!!

But some things just don't taste the same if you use olive oil.

You can't spread olive oil and marmite (or substitute any other delicious spread) on your toast in the morning!

Butter bakes better and tastes better.
Of course its bad for you! So are cigarettes, pizza, beer, loose women, violent TV, gambling and staying up too late. Its all about about where you draw the line.
The health risks from breathing the air in Shanghai probably overshadows the difference in eating butter or margarine.

margarine is made by satan. trans fat (hydrogenated oil) one of the worst things you can eat. butter is quite fine in moderation.
