What are the best five bars/clubs in Shanghai, and why? Screw the That's Shanghai awards. What a load.

What an embarassment ... responding to a post on the
'Top 5 Joints' in Shanghai at this time on a Saturday night Crying or Very sad !!!

Maybe that's why I can only get to 2 :

* Time Passage - 183, Lane 1038 Huashan Lu (near Fuxing Xi Lu)

* Charlie's Bar (no, not the one at the Crowne Plaza - although nothing against it) - No. 1875 Nanjing Xi Lu (near Urumuqi Bei Lu)

Maybe not so easy to find, but both worth the effort if you are into less commercial spots.
