| Post subject: Any late night western food places? |
Apart from the burgers at Eager Beaver, are there any other places where one can get western food after about 1am? |

How about Taco Popo - although it's more Mexican than anything else, they do serve burgers until 4am....

Always Cafe is another option. Huge menu.
Rendezvous is open til 2:00am, at least the one in XJH used to be/is.
Anadoulu is open for kebabs at that time.
Keven Cafe used to be open til 2:00ish but not sure if they still are.
Taco Popo, Maoming (can't stand Tong Ren) and Beaver Burgers are my favorite options. |

This new place 24 hour place is being opened by Eduardo Vargas and it will be called City Diner or The City I'm not sure which! and it will be located on the second floor of Eat, Drink, Man, Woman on Tongren lu.
doesn't say when it will open though, so I guess - watch this space! |

how 'inforced' is that new law from February or March that said all entertainment places had to close by 2am? (2am?) does it include restaurants, perhaps not, but what of restaurants with bars in them. I have not been out past 2am since the law was put into effect..... |

it's an order from the same place, waffle house... a 24 hour diner all over the southeastern us that has a special way of ordering hashbrowns and a terrific pork chop platter to which i always add a waffle that is dry, no syrup, butter or jam.
shanghai would be a fantastic place for one of these greasy spoons! |

I think the WH would be a big hit here both with locals and expats. |

Thanks for those suggestions. Anadolu is in an area I do frequent and I do like kebabs! When does Always Cafe close? I've been there several times for lunch and dinner, but didn't know they were open very late. I'll pass on Taco Popo, but will take note in case I'm really desperate. |

last time i walked out of always cafe, it was 5:00am... one of those places that is more or less dictated by the crowds of the night...
another place to keep in mind of times of desperation is melrose pizze. at the very least there are branches all over and they also deliver. great for when you roll in at 7:00am famished... |
