maybe suggest which subway line or what part of the city you need to be in, and do you like 2, 3, 4, or 5 star accomodations?

Do you want to stay at the Pudong Shangri-La? I have two more nights available for half the best rate you can find anywhere.

Definitely stay at the Shangri-La.

Hell, my apartment is near there and I am tempted to take Pegasus up on the offer.

The Baileman is a 2 or 3 star hotel and is reasonably close to the #2 subway. Depending on your tastes and where're your from you may not want to go any cheaper than that. The Hilton, a 5 star hotel, is 2 blocks away, and triple the room price if you're interested.

Plenty of choices for htels along the route of the subways. Really depends on your need.

Along Line 2 in Puxi, Zhong Shan park offers 5 star and 4 star accomodations at the Mayfair. Plenty of 3 star accomodations within walking distance as well along Ding Xi Rd.

No notable locations near JiangSu Rd, though a 10 min walk can get you to a few Local 3 star/2 star places

Jing An Temple stop, you already mentioned the BaileMen, a 3 star local hotel near to many attractions, food and entertainement venues. Also nearby the Portman Ritz carelton and JC Mandarin

ShiMen#1 Rd (Now called nanjing West Rd) stop is flatout in the business district and walking distance to numerous local 3 star places incuding teh HaiLuo Hotel near exit 3 and also within walking distance to the Golden Eagle Hotel on ShanXi North Rd.

People's Sq, the interchage of teh #1 and #2 line has dozens of hotels nearby.

Nanjing East Rd (Henan Central Rd) exit also is home to dozens more hotels within walking distance.

thats a summary of teh aprt of line 2 I am familiar with.
