What about those who found an excuse to come to this place because we believe there are a lot of excitement / potential / energy / etc... but not quite here for years yet...
We chase dreams / unknown / culture contrasting to that of where we're from / subjects-or-objects for exploration... We put up with what we don't like and what we like we just don't get back home... So this could well be our home of the future... Who knows... |

We have another poll about how you deal with healthcare in Shanghai. Register your vote ( only totals are calculated ) Check the poll tab n the front page.
Last month - here are the results - looks like most people who voted are happy with the local cuisine.
We all have our food habits. Choose the ones that most reflects yours.
Western breakfast - fast food lunch - 3+ times- week 2 Votes
I get all the food groups - Pizza, Chocolate, Burgers and Beer 5 Votes
Coffee for breakfast - fast food for lunch 0 Votes

Ok.. Time for another jump into the collective psyche of shanghaiexpat. This month we want to see what kind of internet user you are. So click the POLL tab on the front page and answer this month's question.
Last month we had a question about healthcare and happily most of you seem pretty healthy or at least taken care of . The voting went as follows.
I have international med insurance through my company. 30 Votes
I have local insurance through my company. 11 Votes
I am self insured, pay as I go, using local hospitals and clinics. 14 Votes
I have in international package but it does not cover the things I need. 3 Votes
I am self insured, pay as I go, and use primarily expat services. 3 Votes
