hi, i just got married 2 my Chinese wife in China and we need 2 open a joint bank account. we've tried 4 banks and have said they cant open a joint Chinese and foreign persons account
does any1 have any experience on this?
your help will be greatly appreciated

I've gotten the same answer from banks that you have. I don't think it's possible to have a joint bank account here. |

My wife is Chinese and we have a joint bank account with HSBC in Hong Kong. Don't think that the HSBC bank here in Shanghai can offer the same, because they are in general just as useless as the other local banks here. |

We too were told it isnt possible to have a joint account and they couldn't issue more than one bank card for the account |
