You may attend English service at Hengshan International Church but accompanied by a foreign passport holder.

Techincally, english serrvice is for foreign passport holders as the governtment wishes to avoid any organizaition haveing more power than it does. But as you know, churches tend to be a very open place so they will usually let folks in, no harm no foul right? As for readiong it in english vs chinese though, it just depends on the translation I think. For many locals, its just the fact ts in English that make them feel like it more important, but thats a whole otehr story...

Have the Chinese Govt. issued an 'official' translation of the Bible? Would only stand to reason as this has been done throughout history as required.

You think the bible you are reading is the real text???
