I suddenly found myselft benefit a lot from ShanghaiExpat.com.
I met my girlfriend through ShanghaiExpat.com 18 months ago, we have serious and very good realationship. I got my job here. I got a round trip airticket to London here. It's really an amazing site for me.
Also meet quite a few nice people here. I can say ShanghaiExpat really changed my life and the way I see people with different background and cultures. |

Fukuman: "I got to ride 1into many here"
On a more serious note: "This website is very informative, provided me a lot of insight in Shanghai itself and the job market because of the people who are willing to provide this information. I guess Shexpat facilitates in this." |

I was morbidly obese, covered in pimples, wore coke bottle glasses and only saw naked girls in Japanese cartoons..........
After only a few weeks on ShExpat...I'm fit as a fiddle with glowing healthy skin, my eyes are great and naked women are everywhere I look.... Thanks, ShExpat!!!!! |

Wow, so many people here and they all love shanghaiexpat! Great! Unfortunately, the Wednesday action is too late and far from where I live <my university> and I'm always having jobs to do on Sunday. It's not a right time for me, is it? Bliss, how can I meet such great people of shanghaiexpat? |

well the name fanny is very different from the name jones! which is just boring - fanny is kind of rude!
the name fanny4ever sounds to me like you like the ladies a lot!!!! i think you should register with a new account!!! But you do what you want, you do only have 5 posts though so you haven't built up too much identity with this name! |

During the most difficult times in August last year, I almost made a stupid decision to quit the job and fly back for good, but friends from Shanghaiexpat.com gave me supports in kind words and PMs... Thanks again, folks, you made me a stronger person! |

I think it's a great site. A lot of helpful people and lots of interesting information. I've met quite a few people from the site and having shexpat in common, made you feel less like strangers and also gave conversation a healthy boost until the initial unfamiliarity wore off. Shexpat is definately an essential site for finding your feet in Shanghai. One of the most telling testaments to this is a friend of mine saying that when he first arrived here in Shanghai he often googled things of interest and was referred to Shexpat, until finally he realised it was just easier to search for info about Shanghai here. It's also a great way to become exposed to people from varied walks of life who you may never meet under normal circumstances. |

Shanghaiexpat is better than any yellow pages or guide book. I went on a month long search for something very specific - Top Hats, and failed miserably. Then I decided to post on Shanghaiexpat, got a few replies, and found my hat in a day! I was absolutely ecstatic! And any time I have any other questions, whether it's big or small, someone is always there to answer and help. It is for me the single best source for information for any subject matter and has been indispensable for me in Shanghai! Thanks Shanghaiexpat! |

Over the past few weeks I have not only met many fine people through Shanghai Expat, but have been able to hire several employees. I was so tired over the past 3 years of always having to hire friends of a friend or through a friend of a friend that now I can really find the individuals with the qualifications needed for my jobs in Shanghai. Thank you Shanghai Expat, you provide an invaluable service to the international community. |
