I just got my hep B shot today so no alcohol for three days!
Point being- I should be able to get up for this one and look forward to seeing people there... |

Well, if I had know of the "side effects" I would have scheduled it for Tuesday or something.
The silver lining is coffee on Saturday though! |

As noted in the first post in this thread, this event happens every saturday in Zhong Shan park Cloud Nine mall at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf.
The Sunday coffee brunch at XinTianDi also happens every week and has its own announcement thread.

Interesting question.
COnsidering i host both events, I'd have to say just that they are different in feel. the Saturday one is more a bunch of expats getting together to chat, get to know one another, compare notes and then if free, grab lunch together.
the Sunday one is the larger one where many regulars are now using it as a meeting place and yet you get a bigger slection of people to meet. Honestly the group seems younger overall on Sunday and more Family oriented though everyone is welcome, on Saturdays.
BUT as these groups tend to be very dynamic in nature and the attendees tend to change regularly, its best you you come to both to get a feel for yourself.
And oh one added difference, the locations. Saturday's coffee is easily accessible by metro lines 2,3 &4 and much more convenient for those living in the central and western sectionsof Shanghai. It is also a convenient stop point before going shopping at Carrefour downstairs or cloud nine mall where there are outdorr shops, eyewear shops, kids clothing and bunches more stores in addition to the usual ladies wear. |

One more day and we meet up again! Looks like the rain is gonna fade off and so tomorrow ought to be a nice cool day, or at least dry.
We had talked about doing a wine tasting after lunch, but I checked with the venue and iot seems they will not be free until next week. good news though, is that the owner will be back from New Zealand then and will personally host us. This will be open to our Saturday Coffee meeting attendees as a priority, but of course open to other members interested in tasting wines for the purpose of being more educated and potentially buying, as the venue I am arranging it with IS afterall a wine importer. more details at tomorrow's coffee meet. |

yeah they actually asked me to go on a sales trip tomorrow early morning through next wednesday. not gonna happen, i already pulled two all nighters this week.

I just got home, apparently I missed a turn somewhere and ended up at the airport, but the bike rides like a charm haha, thanks to all that helped me pick it out, I'll see everyone next week. |

Its FRIDAY!!!
Tomorrow's Coffee Meet will be a good start to an amazingly busy weekend.
Those of you who are regulars are already registered as invited guests to a wine tasting we talked about the last few weeks. Ruby Red has graciously extended an invite for us to come out after our lunch to taste some wines and hopefully if find ones we like, we are welcome to make purchases and they will deliver.
