Apart from posting on this wonderful message board, can I suggest you go to City shopper on Hong Mei Rd and at the Portman Shanghai Centre. They have noticboards there with plenty of adverts from "orphaned" Ayis. There are also posts from families leaving town who want to find their Ayi a new home.

Just remember that if it's a full-time ayi that you need a legal contract with her employer if she has one. This is a growing problem in Shanghai and if you get caught you'll get deported.
