unrelated, but we are through to the champions league.
watched the second half of the liverpool game and they definitely played better than they did in the first leg. will the manage to transfer their european form into the domestic game or is rafa a one trick pony? |

Congrats on getting throught to the group stages, lets hope you draw Barcelona, Man utd and Lyon!!
Mon the hoops!! |
ON ANOTHER TOPIC
Kieron Dyer, what a waste of money!£60000k a week, 190 appearences in 7 years at newcastle, always injured, I think Darren Sicknote Anderton played more games than he has, then moves in another lucrative move to West Ham, 2 appearences double fracture of a leg.
Sorry Hammers, at least your due for compensation from insurance!!
Dont know why you ever bought him anyway |

LOL.
It's a decent draw from an excitement point of view. We have never played Barcelona and the trip to the Nou Camp will be one of nostalgia as we won the Cup Winners Cup there. Stuttgart are beatable and Lyon seem to be toiling somewhat so call me optimistic but i do believe we have a chance.
As for Everton signing Graveson, LOL. I think the shock of him signing for Madrid was matched by the shock of him signing for Celtic if you consider the crap season he had in Spain. He probably had two good games for Celtic but for the best part of the summer they have been trying to offload him and his 40 grand a week salary. I can't believe Moyes has been stupid enough to re-sign him. |

oh well, at least yakubo did a good job, surprised about gravesen as well...still havent figured out how he ever could be signed by real...
anyway, i'll put some money on rangers going through this year. stuttgart have had a really bad start to the german league and i doubt they'll manage anything either in CL....
surprised to see how chelsea lost but at least it stays tight for another couple of weeks at the top them. quite nice with liverpool, arsenal, the toffees and chelsea up there on the same points...
is anybody on a site like skybet or betandwin ... seems they are blocked from here ? |

Have to rethink my IKTS now.
Jose Mourinho resigns as Chelsea manager
By Henry Winter, Football Correspondent
Last Updated: 2:07am BST 20/09/2007
Jose Mourinho last night told his senior players that he was resigning as manager of Chelsea after a final fall-out with the club's billionaire owner, Roman Abramovich.
Jose Mourinho
Jose Mourinho sent text messages to his top players wishing them 'good luck in the rest of your career'
Mourinho sent text messages to John Terry, Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba wishing each of them "good luck in the rest of your career" and saying that he was leaving the club this morning.
He has been frustrated for some time with the tense situation at Chelsea, and particularly the perceived interference of Abramovich in team affairs.
Mourinho was unhappy with the £30 million arrival of Andrei Shevchenko, a striker much admired by Abramovich.
The self-styled "Special One" rarely praised Shevchenko and pointedly ignored the Ukrainian when he scored in Chelsea's embarrassing 1-1 Champions League draw with Norwegian side Rosenborg on Tuesday night.

Following Chelsea's lame display in a competition Abramovich has his heart set on winning, Mourinho was yesterday summoned to a crisis meeting.
After that, Mourinho decided to resign, his frustration at Chelsea's ludicrous internal politics boiling over.
Chelsea now head to the Premiership champions, Manchester United, on Sunday without their charismatic coach.
At the heart of yesterday's final fall-out between Mourinho and Abramovich is the owner's desire for more attractive football, the type of free-flowing attacking game that Chelsea have failed to manage consistently under Mourinho.
While the Portuguese manager was winning back-to-back League titles, an uneasy peace lingered - but when results began to slip, Abramovich's displeasure became obvious.
The Russian walked out early from Chelsea's 2-0 defeat at Aston Villa earlier this season, and he will not have enjoyed Tuesday's poor result and performance.
Mourinho, 44, will go down as Chelsea's most successful manager, and the fans will lament the charismatic coach's departure.
He was voted Premiership Manager of the Year in 2005 and 2006, and he will not be short of job offers. Chelsea's board must now quickly call a meeting with Terry, Lampard, Drogba. |

Jose has been fantastic for the premier league, he gave Ferguson and Wenger a kick up the back-side and I think this decision by Chelsea is a disgrace.
But some of his recent buys are shocking!!!
"I have all the resources in the world, who shall i draft in? Sidwell, Tal ben Haim, Pizarro and OOH I know, Belleti!"
A third choice fullback for one of your biggest rivals in the Champ Lge, instead of Alves!
Cech, Terry, Carvalho,A Cole, Makelele, Malouda, J Cole, Drogba then who...........Essien??
Lampard is on his way out the door come January, Shevchenko back to AC as well
Chelsea should go for Guus Hiddink, Cappello or Del Bosque
All tactically aware, managed in the champs lge and 2 have won it!!
And play attacking football at their respective clubs!! |

Mourinho for England manager!!
Campaign and masterplan starts here.
Sack Mclaren today and give no explanation as it does not require one. Approach Mourinho to become England manager, on £5m a year (Sven's wage - and his old Chelsea wage). Now here's the key - sell it to him on the basis that our next game is away in Russia and a chance for immediate revenge on Roman. Suddenly he is listening and accepts.
Mourinho creates a seige mentality in the camp with mad ramblings about sub-standard training methods. England train in snow, have KGB agents jogging after them and go Rocky IV on their arse. David James needlessly grows a beard and starts chopping random wood. The press call it 'Cocky IV, mission to Moscow' (actually scrap the roman numerals, we hate Roman now).
We then win 4-1 after being one down at half-time and play so well in the second half that the Russian crowd turn on Abramovich and run him into hiding. The UN then awards all his oil deposits to England for the exceptional performance and the eradiction of a Matthew Kelly-looking tryant which results in Premiership ticket prices going down.
And hey, if he rejects, at least we have sacked McLaren! |
