| Post subject: Baby Questions of a Shanghai newcomer |
Hi There,
We are a little family of three with a 9 months old toddler newly arrived in China from the Middle East. Out Shanghai residence will be in the very north of town, near Baoshan steel district.
May I ask for recommendations on the following
1. First Aid medical facility for families near Baoshan
2. Good GP for adults with either Canadian or German background in the North of Shanghai.
3. Good Pediatrician for our baby boy, MUST speak English and hold an international accredited diploma in the Northern part of Shanghai.
4. A children / toddler group of Westerner parents near Baoshan area.
5. Does anybody have a list or recommendation of which mediacations for babies to bring from Europe or Canada - as not available in Shanghai
Thank you for your help

I would suggest you bring the regular over the counter medication such as Tylenol. They are available here in the international hospital but expensive.
Sorry, I don't know anything about Baoshan area in regards to your other questions. How far is that from downtown Shanghai? |

I don't know much about Baoshan area but this website below will get you started
http://shanghai.mychinastart.com/
Go to the German and the Canadian websites, they will have the answers you're looking for otherwise become an Ozzie and go the the Australian Consulate website to download the medical facilities and emergency lists. Hope it helps. |

Hautumncould,
txs for the advise, Baoshan is about 30km north of Shanghai central railway station. when looking at the A30 at it's most northern tip. |
