Best of Shanghai TIME TO CHOOSE!

OK.. the nominations are in. We have some good ones. Time to choose your favorite Best of Shanghai nominations. There are 46 categories, plus you can write if you really want to vote for a choice that is not listed. You will be asked for your email address. We will not ad your email to our list, we just need to make sure.. only one vote per person. If someone is padding the ballot box.. we'll know and will disqualify those votes.

Some ideas:
-do not make the "write-in below", make "other write here" under EVERY question
-make option "do not know" for example "What is the best place to get a massage in Shanghai?" - some people (like me) are not getting massages so I do not know if is it "any of the above" or "none of the above"...

Thanks adnim for your feedback... unfortunately the survey is locked and cannot be altered once we start taking votes. Appreciate your comments though.

In the meantime, if you have not yet voted.. please to to the link above and make your choices on the categories you do know.

Why are we voting on hotels and motels when presumably, us expats are somewhat permanent residents here.

We are voting on hotels because this category was suggested by the members. We started this by brainstorming categories on the site, and then members nominated their best of in each category. Then we put the nominations up for a vote. Some people have to come and stay in t hotel for a week or so before they get their place. Some members come for a short stay. Some have visitors and need to know where to put them up. Its a question that comes up often.
