| Post subject: Moving to Nanjing |
We are thinking about taking a job in Nanjing. We have enjoyed the life in Shanghai. What is the comparative living situations, specifically recreation, night life, hospitals, restuarants, expat scene, etc.? Does anyone have tips for us? Any impressions? Experiences?
Thanks in advance! |

Hi there. I have lived in Nanjing for about 1 year now and I think it is quit a comfortable city to live in. Nanjing is comparatively cheaper than Shanghai. For less than 3K RMB, you can easily get a very nice 2-3 BR aprt right in the city center. There is a bar/restaurant area (similar to XingTianDi in SH). But I am not a bar person, so I am not sure about the other nice ones out there. For health care, there is one SOS clinic in Nanjing. The medical service is very nice. I haven't tried the local hospitals tho.
If you have the time, just come to Nanjing for a weekend trip. It only takes about 2 hour's train ride away from Shanghai. |
