Post subject: living and working in different provinces
I will be transferring to my company's Shenzhen office for an executive level position. We do not want to live in Shenzhen and have decided to live in Suzhou instead, as it is a better place for a family and I have many customers there. I also have potential company growth there. I will fly back and forth Monday and Thursday, but have a grueling travel schedule anyway.
Will this be a problem, as I am about to sign a 2 year lease in Suzhou?
The visa will be no problem, as I have the same job and am in the China office many times a month anyway. Do you have to live wherre you work? I acnnot get a straight answer.in ot

You need to have the PSB update your residence permit records and also notify the PSB where you intend to live. There is a good chance you'll need to get a new work permit since they are province specific.
