Post subject: AFC/NFC Championships, Super Bowl, and Holiday

Happy Chinese New Year everybody! Out with the pig and hello to the rat. Hope you’re planning to get away, relax, or just enjoy a quiet Shanghai during the holiday. As a business note, Bubba’s will close early on Tuesday, February 5 (7 p.m.) and then remain closed for the three main holiday days…..Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (6, 7, and 8th respectively). We’ll re-open on Saturday at 11 p.m. for normal operations.

Now, on to more serious matters…….NFC and AFC Championship games will be shown same-day delayed at Bubba’s on Monday, January 21st, starting with a 2 p.m. kick-off of the San Diego at NE game. Second game will start at approximately 6 p.m.

For the Super Bowl, we’ll host Shanghai’s first ever PIG PICK’N TAILGATE PARTY to send out The Year of the Pig in grand style. 100 rmb at the door will get you access to our Texas-style soft-taco breakfast bar, featuring eggs, sausage, bacon, etc., along with whole smoked suckling pig and all the other fix’ns to make yourself a breakfast that will last all day. We’ll have this open and available through halftime to complement drink specials throughout the game….25 rmb draughts, house pours, special drinks, coffee, etc.

Finally, if you think you can even come close to hitting a golf ball after the game… then join me and others as we take on the Big Bamboo Drunks (that’s their team name, seriously) at the Hong Qiao Golf Course for the 2nd Annual Super Bowl Golf Tournament between our two joints. If you are interested, send me an e-mail or just show up with your clubs on Super Bowl Monday. We’ll take a bus to the course and return back to Bubba’s immediately following to tally the results this year….and with official monitors…as last year a few liberties were taken with the tallying part.

See you at Bubba’s,
KJ

Post subject: NFC Championship Game

KJ,

Love Bubbas... and in lieu of an answer to my query... I'll be there at 6pm... but do you know any way to get the game in real time (or anyone who is showing it)? I was looking forward to Kegs and Eggs (as we called it in college) and a 7:30 am beer watching the Giants play (and hopefully beat) the Packers.

Best Regards,
